CPD/Cycle
The general format will be weather permitting :
- approximately 2 hours veterinary CPD lectures or interactive
- 2-4 hours road or mountain bike ride with light late lunch on route( so eat plenty breakfast !)
- approximately 2 hours veterinary CPD
- optional evening ride
CPD
High quality veterinary CPD for small animal practitioners structured to cover a wide range of different subjects especially useful to general practice. Veterinary CPD will be conducted by personnel highly regarded in their field who are also keen cyclists.
Cycle
Road or mountain bike routes for cyclists with a reasonable level of fitness. Mountain bike route will encompass a variety of terrain from quiet country lanes to technical rocky and rooty wooded singletrack, all with fantastic views of the Derbyshire countryside. Rides will usually involve a relaxing on route coffee/lunch stop outside (weather permitting) before returning invigorated for more CPD. Additional evening excursions are available on 2 day courses for those delegates keen to get as much riding time as possible out of cycle CPD . Bike rides will be guided by a level 2 mountain bike instructor and technical advice will be available where appropriate.
